RFA Talk > Sacred Illness

I know I've often felt that food addiction was a gift of sorts, but I was really surprised to see a "word of the day" that so closely related.

WORD FOR THE DAY
Friday, Nov. 1

"A sacred illness is one that educates us and alters us from the inside out, provides experiences and therefore knowledge that we could not possibly achieve in any other way."

I like the idea of having a "sacred illness."

I do too Kelly. Someone shared at the Monday meeting that they felt enlightened. That's how I feel with the correct information.

I am an enlightened food addict with a sacred illness.

I was on that call and heard that and loved it! Sometimes it doesn't feel sacred, but when I stop the think of how close it has brought me to my Creator and Redeemer, it is indeed sacred:)
