Hi Mikayla. Thanks for the post.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "12 steps questions." Are you looking for questions to answer about each step? Or something diferent?

Congratulations on starting a meeting. What city are you in?

thanks,
Kasey

Hi Makayla,

This is Alison from RFA in Atlanta. Happy Thanksgiving! If you are starting a meeting, I recommend contacting RFA World Service for information and guidance. Here are my thoughts - RFA does not have a set of step questions as part of approved literature. Here are some thoughts on having a step study focus for an RFA meeting - take what you like and leave the rest, of course! First, a group conscience decision to make the meeting a step focused meeting (could just be two people to make a group, I think.) Then, the leader for each meeting could include a reading and discussion of a step that fits with the format for RFA meetings as part of his or her lead. The leader could certainly raise specific questions about the steps that others are invited to answer during the general sharing time.

The format for every RFA meeting is the same. During positive pitches, a group could request positive pitches related to a particular step. Also, a group could request that each week's topic be discussed as part of a step discussion.

Week 1 - powerlessness (Step 1 of course, but steps 4 and 6 work well too)

Week 2 - taken from anywhere within the first 164 pages of the Big Book (these describe each step)

Week 3 - step of the month

Week 4 - taken from approved Kay Sheppard books, Food Addiction: The Body Knows and From the First Bite (there are discussions of steps in the books)

Week 5 - Atlanta reads from a Big Book story, not sure about other approved topics for Week 5
