Today, my son who is on the food plan with us, had his 16th birthday! For the first time in 19 years of parenting, we celebrated a birthday with no sweets:) It was truly sweeter than any other birthday because there was more peace and joy than I ever imagined possible before recovery!

How wonderful! Happy birthday! Life is sweet indeed. Congratulations!

I really don't get tired of hearing these stories. It's great to be able to see the sweetness of life because I am abstinent.
