RFA Talk > Makin' muffins

Hi RFA Talkers! I'm going for a minor surgical procedure tomorrow morning. No general anasthesia, so I get to have breakfast! I made pear/blueberry muffins because I am scheduled for 630am. Send me some good juju.
Thanks for checking out RFA Talk and participating. It's a great way for us to stay connected.

Thanks Mary Rose. I'm back; a successful procedure. thanks for the well wishes and the support to be able to be prepared with a quick breakfast. Also with the confidence to tell the surgical assistant that I wouldn't drink juice. My blood pressure was a bit low after the procedure and she wanted me to have something. My choices were:
juice, diet Sprite or saltines. I asked for water instead and guess what? My pressure was normal in a few minutes. I prayed that it would be. I feel the power of the group when taking a step like that because I know I'm not alone, just being difficult or contrary. Instead, I'm one of a beuatiful group of recovering ( or recovered ) food addicts who know the truth and are able to stand in it and for it. I really don't know what I'd do without all of you.

love,

Kasey

Kasey,
Glad you made it through in such good form! One hint for keeping blood pressure up is to push lots of fluids (drink til ya float) the day before and liberalize salt intake for a day or two.
Hugs,
Dolores
