RFA Talk > In the loops
Christine--
Welcome! I think you will find folks on Kay's current plan both here and on her loop, those would be the best places, I would say. This loop is much smaller and is affiliated with RFA specifically, whereas her loop is not affiliated with any particular 12-step group though is 12-step focused and oriented. If that makes sense.
Let us know if you have any questions! I don't know where you live, but the RFA convention is four weekends from now in Houston at the Houston Hobby Airport Holiday Inn, conveniently located across the street from the airport with a free shuttle. Rooms are pretty cheap ($79 I believe for up to four people to share) and there a luncheon. We start Friday night and end Sunday morning.

Thanks Steve. I live in Tampa Florida. I don't know if I will be able to make the conference, but it does sound inviting. I am following Kay's food plan, started out following FAA food plan. I have all the FAA books except Food For the Soul. I am also in another fellowship so I am very familiar with the step and program. Thank you for the welcome. Some days it seems hard and others a snap and I don't even think of the food or obsess over anything I eat or don't eat. I even copy recipes obsessively lately. One day at a time, I will get better.
Thanks
Christine

Christine,
So good to hear of a local Floridian who is doing the RFA program!! I'm in the Tampa area too! Though I'm not nearly as far along into my recovery as you, I have a good friend who's been guiding me along (sometimes herding me...) I have not formally participated in RFA until the convention this past weekend. I noticed on here that there is a group that meets Tuesday evenings in Zephyrhills.
I am going to check on that meeting and see if it is still active. I'll post on your thread when I find out. It's just great to hear of someone else in this area in RFA!

The RFA meeting in our area is on Tuesday evenings at 6 pm, at the Zephyrhills Hospital, in the American Elm room. I heard back from them today and they are still active! I'm going to check it out tonight; hope you see this message and decide to come too!

Hi, I am in so many loops its not funny. I am a member of AA 27 yrs, FAA 58 days. I joined the FAA loop, the Bodyknows loop and I just heard about this loop. I follow Kay's Plan so am I in the right place? I have been working the steps from the FAA step book. I have done AA steps many time. I attend AA meetings regularly and I am active in the program. I dont share what I am eating in the FAA loop because they follow Kay's old plan. I want to be in the loop that is following her current plan. Any feedback would be helpful. I am abstinent of sugar flour wheat caffeine any artificial or natural substances, certains herbal teas (some are a trigger for me, especially the ones that say natural flavorings,) and any other trigger foods that I might find!
Thanks all
